It would help if I spelled it correctly...😂😂 Why, oh why, do I post at night?!

Anywho, it has been a lifesaver (skinsaver?) of mine for years.

I need it, my scars are still visible 1 yr later

Twice a day for 90 days will show great results. Keep some on had and ideally start the regimen when the scab comes off or if no scab, when the wound has healed/no longer open. It flattens raised scars pretty well, too.

I had surgery at an all Bariatric Hospital. I am allergic to Morphine but that’s usually not a big deal, there are plenty of other pain meds out there. I remember waking up post surgery and as I’m in and out the nurse tells the other that she gave me 2 douses of something for the pain. I’m still waking up as they are wheeling me to my room and things are hurting more and more and I’m getting pretty agitated. A nurses assistant comes in and gives me the morphine button and I press it like crazy. Eventually the nurse comes in and tells me that it doesn’t work. I’m getting super agitated at this point and I’m in a bunch of pain. My bed was hurting my skin. Every sense was heightened. I scream “I want to go to a REAL hospital!!!!” Next thing I know, I woke up 6 hours later. 😳

I’m great now. Officially 3 weeks post op. Besides stomach issues, everything is peachy.

I tend toward low drama. No dying instructions for hubby and kids; didn't even tell hubby the ATM password! However, waking up with a purple/green swollen neck from an attempt by the anesthesiologist to put in an IV and then a central line put in by the surgeon in the OR (nurses had failed 6 times while I was awake) kinda freaked me out. Found out that all my veins are tiny. Who knew?

They stuck me 14 times in pre-op trying to get an IV in. Both arms - both hands and both feet had multiple sticks. My surgeon was ready for me and I still didn’t have an IV in. At one point I had 4 people at once trying to get one in!! They finally got one but it wasn’t in very good. I woke up with a different one in my left wrist! (And for a week after surgery I looked like a junky! Lol)

All the nurses, including their "big guns" failed to get an IV started before my surgery. I finally had two anesthesiologists working in tandem with a hand-held doppler looking for a vein. (They succeeded, by the way.)

Does it work on old scars?

It does, Fluff! Will minimize the appearance and still help flatten if scar is raised. I have been using it for a variety of things over the past 10 years...kinda like everything can be fixed with a little duct tape...that's how I feel about kelo-cote!😂😂😂

Because the concussion has me forgetting to include words that complete a sentence. 😒

I need it to "pop out" a "dent" (ie divot) from one of the scars. ;) Duct tape might just work though! *snort*

I constantly have to talk my skinny heifer gymnast veins off the ledge. They roll away first sign of a needle. 😒

One of my more dramatic moments was trying to coerce whatever nurse had walked into my room into taking my IV out. They had it in the middle of my inner forearm and it hurt and was so inconvenient! “What can we do to make you more comfortable?” “You could remove this..😏”

I can't think of any dramatic moments, other than I go balls to the wall about any new idea to help me stay on track then I veer off like usual. But after my surgery I tried to write in my journal and after the pain meds wore off, I tried to read what I wrote and couldn't understand most of it and it was quite sideways. I know it started off talking about women and eating then it was mumbling. Then ( I had chose not to tell any of my husbands family at first to let them assume I was back on drugs after 7 years clean and sober) I went to text the one Aunt we told to let her know surgery went well and next thing I'm getting a text back from his other Aunt asking who I was. I put the phone under my butt to hide it because I didn't want her to know it was me. I'm still not sure how hiding the phone under me would ensure that, but it made me feel better at the time. My secret was kept safe (and warm). lol

So of us are and were a real caution, but we are are realigning, reorganizating into something the 🌏 has never seen before. And yes , stuffing the phone under my butt so no one would know it was Me, the resonates for me. Remember I flipped my gown up, wanted to see if they had drawn on me with Magic Markers, actually done surgery, or had anesthesia just put me to sleep for a good nap. Hardly slept at all for 48 hours being excited. about this monomentual REBIRTHDAY I was going to have!
Another FYI, my youngest yeah the Tomkitten, had fallen down neighbor's unrailed stairway, had a suspected head injury, was in our local" band aid station" so named for generalized ineptitude. Why do we go there occasionally? it's easy to get to, close by. We'll surely even they know how to do Neuro checks? Kept trying to shine penlight in TK eyes to check pupils, he keeps shutting them. They tried everything short of prying his little eyelids open, mind you he was 2 months short of 3 years, finally gave up and sent him to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus , 48 miles away, let them play with him.
Asked TK later, you see he may have only been 3 but easily as verbal as a 6 year old. Probably would have told them himself if they had only asked instead treating him like a particularly interesting piece of beef roast.
"Mommy , when I closed my eyes, the headache , bright lights and pesky people went away, I could pretend I was at home with you, Daddy, and my toys. I love you Mommy". And 30-some years later he still is proud to tell me that!

Mantra: Never trust a fart!! (I contemplated using this as my user name😂)

You know I've been thinking about this a lot lately, don't ask why, but the only safe space for a fart is the toilet 😓😢

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
