No offense Alex, but just because one Dr. has that opinion does not make it a proven fact.

I could not find any completed studies, so this is Dr. roller's conjecture.

The RNY bypassed just 3 feet of the small intestine, but still leaves 17. So it doesn't make sense to me that would make casein an ineffective source of Protein for bypass patients.

There was absolutely nothing in that article that supports the claim that casein is inappropriate for RNY patients.

I've found a blend that has equal parts. WPI WPC & CASEIN plus amino acids and luecine.

Both whey and caesin Proteins are great for weight loss. Whey generally helps build muscle mass for body builders. Caesin is good for preventing muscle loss during weight loss. Whey is digested much faster than caesin which may produced satiety sooner. Caesin digests much slower so can ward off hunger.
