I was sleeved on 11/8 and I'm having a real hard time with pain and with getting Fluid and Protein in, I'm not coming even close to my goals for protein. Those of you that were sleeved in early November, how has your progress been?

I just had my surgery on November 6th, going great so far! My 1 week post op appointment is tomorrow, hope to add creamed Soups and yogurt to my diet.

I had my surgery in the 8th as well. Make sure you are taking your nausea medicine as well. I was neglecting it and could barely get 30oz of Fluid. Got home and had a miserable day. My wife asked me if I was taking the medicine I said no I didn’t feel nauseous. She told me being unable to drink is exactly what the nausea is. So I started taking it and instead of taking 5 hours to get a 16oz Protein Water down on Saturday night, it took me 2.5 hours this morning and it felt much more natural. It’s a huge difference and I’d give that a try. It may take a day or so to get the dehydration under control but once you have that and nausea taken care of, it’s a lot easier.

I’ve got my post surgery appointment this Friday, and I too am looking forward to adding creamed Soups to my diet, as well as get approval for a spoonful or two of mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
