The dreaded stretch marks

Recommended Posts

Or as i call them

Lightning tattoos😉

Has anyone tried derma rolling for stretch marks?

Or are there any good creams?

Mine have faded from the purple to the 1 shade lighter than my skin tone, but now that im finally getting comfortable to flaunt some shorts or a swim suit, i myself a bit self concious about them😔

Mine are absolutely terrible! Haven’t found anything that helps. I can’t even look at my stomach.

The old remedy was cocoa butter, Vitamin E or I guess in the US we have Bio-Oil , a lot of people praise it. Check and see if,your chemists in. Oz might have something similar.

Thanks! We do have bio oil in Australia. I have to admit that I’m good at buying it and forgetting to use it. These marks have just been there for years!!

Did you try derma rolling? Would love to hear your thoughts about it. Having stretchmarks myself and would love to have another strategy other than "ignore them".

I just put regular lotion (Jergens) on mine and they’re super faded now that I’m pretty far out from surgery and close to goal. I think any sort of moisturizer will help keep the skin nice and healthy 😊

I use bio oil and it works great on scarring and fading (I'd assume stretch marks would be the same). Worth a shot, and its very very cheap!

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
