It's the finger gather that I always fail on. Yours looks beautiful and perfect, and mine always ends up looking like a 3 yr old with mittens on did it 🤣

Does your pie plate have an extra-wide rim? I don't know how I could get that much crust on top to make it so pretty.

It's the basic disposable foil one because i shattered my glass one last month 😱

The density of the dough holds the shape really well (vegan style oil not butter)

That's really interesting. I've only ever made pie crusts with butter.

I don't think so. I make it like biscuit dough (made with oil) so it has that consistency but doesn't rise

2 egg omelette with mushrooms, green onions, red pepper and feta. Spoonful of salsa on the side.

My family had Pasta House tonight for dinner. I’m actually the one who got it for everyone because I know the salads are one of my moms favs. Not one to cry in my Cheerios I made zoodles with turkey sausage, sautéd onions and mushrooms , cherry tomatoes and deglazed the pan with a dash of white wine. Was scrumptious !!! (And I’ll be eating it the rest of the week 😂) And sorry no after pic. My daughter came and cleared my plate for me before I got the chance. I ate about 3/4. And I found these appetizer forks of my grammas. Aren’t they adorable??!!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

      Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
