There's not enough Protein in any pill you're going to take. You'd need to swallow an entire bottle to meet your daily goals.

Lots of soft foods have Protein.

Greek yogurt, oatmeal, refried Beans, cottage cheese, soft poached fish, split pea Soup

Also, you might be able to tolerate Protein Bars soon if you stick with smooth texture ones that don't have seeds and nuts.

I know everyone's tastes are different and taste buds change after surgery, but I've used the Isopure Unflavored powder in Water with a sugar free flavor packet (like fruit punch flavor) and I've found them to be really good. They don't change the flavor or thickness considerably and give you 25g of Protein with 0 carbs and 100 calories. I use one of the shaker bottles to make sure it's all dissolved. Also, I use the caramel premade Premier Protein in my coffee as a "creamer." That's a tip I got on here. I tried putting powder in my coffee and was not successful. ugh

I like Bariatric Protein Soups - the cream of chicken is really good and I’m excited to try the cream of corn- it’s 6oz with 15 grams of protein but it’s liquid so if I drink very slowly I have no problem with it - it’s nice to have something that’s not sweet- I’m 4 days out

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
