I am 9 weeks post-op and down 40 pounds and feeling pretty good. The last two weeks I have been stuck. I dipped to 298 pounds one day but have maintained 301.6 for two weeks straight! I am wanting to beat 300 so bad!! I am getting my Protein and getting 700-900 calories per day so I am not sure what the heck is going on. I have been going to the gym and doing cardio and light weights for about 4 weeks now. I was hoping it was just Water retention, but for two weeks straight? What have you done to beat multiple week stalls?

Have you been hitting your Water goals? Someone your height should be around 120 oz. I increased mine to about that much and have been constantly losing and haven't had much of a stall since. It also helps to eat more carbs than usual one day to surprise your metabolism. Works for me and may work for you!

EDIT: You may also be burning more calories than what you are eating; this will mostly cause a stall as well.

I am hitting my Water goal (64 oz) but I will increase it and see what happens. I do drink more when I am at the gym, usually 32-40 oz while there plus what I have during the day. I have considered eating more calories because of the cardio burning more but have yet to do that experiment. Thank you for your tips!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
