Ok, I shared this link on the OOTD thread, but there is an NSV here too...

The boots I'm wearing are not only regular calf width boots, but for the FIRST TIME EVER, I was able to easily zip boots over jeans!

AND still have room to spare to put on some nice warm knee high socks when it gets colder!

I went to the bike store to try out some frames and bike models. The good looking bike dude told me to get up on a bike to test out the frame size, while he held the front of the bike. I was a little hesitant and he said, "Don't worry. You won't fall. You're little - I've held a lot bigger people than you!" WHAT???? I'M LITTLE?????? WOO HOO!!!! MADE MY DAY!!!

I am still waiting for this NSV! Given my edema issues, it may never happen, but it would be so terrific! Congrats to you!

I'm 10 months post surgery and had been getting frustrated with how slow the progress on the scale had been lately. My husband's employer sends us to Cedar Point every summer (which was not exactly the happiest place for me to be pre-surgery). This year I knew would be better as I have lost over 90 lbs but I was ecstatic to find out I could comfortably fit into the Calvin Klein Jean's my daughter bought me in January. So this past Saturday, I felt like a kid, wore my size 10s and rode every ride we could without having to take the walk of shame off a single one! We had so much fun my husband bought us season passes for next year! I cant thank this community enough for being there to support me and encourage me. Without that, I am sure I would never have made it this far.

I am pumped! I completed my first 5K race yesterday. I ran the whole course and felt great! I was so emotional when I crossed the finish line. I've always wanted to run but I was hindered by my weight. Along with hip, knee and foot pain. WLS is the best thing that has happened to me. My ultimate goal is to run a marathon. I can't wait!👏:1516_runner_tone2::1517_runner_tone3:

Yay!!! Doesn't it feel amazing???!!!! I'm so happy for you and that you've improved your pain to the point that you can run!!! Woooot!

I have a small lap again, was able to rest my iPad on my lap yesterday without any issues. Dogs lay on my lap better lol, i was even able to put my cup of Water between my legs to hold it today. my belly doesn't rub my steering wheel anymore, there is in fact some space. I have much less fibromyalgia pain, can walk for greater lengths of time without pain or being tired! I'm even looking for a more active job, sitting behind a desk all day doesn't suit me anymore. I'm down clothing sizes and no longer wear "tight" 2x's lol

I bought a bike about two months ago, and my big goal was to have enough confidence to go on long bike rides alone. I was too nervous. I would get on my bike and feel so unsteady. I would not go alone. Just short rides with friends. Yesterday morning, I woke up and just did it. I had been praying for help, and signed up for a cycling confidence course beginning Sept 4th, but I wanted to be steady and sure enough to join the class and not slow them down.

I took my bike to a near by parking lot and practiced, got used to the gears, did figure 8s, and then took off to the nearest bike path. 45 minutes later..... I felt like a 12 year old. I could stop, get up, get down, turn corners, go fast, go up a hill, down a hill.... go over bumps! I came home and just had tears rolling down my face.

Working out in the gym, improving my balance, losing weight..... and the inspiration of people here, really helped.

That was NSV 1. NSV 2 is that I have 10 bottles of fine wine club wines in my house and my car that I did not touch for weeks now. Today is the day I take them to a family reunion, to share (give away) to everyone. I DO NOT MISS Wine!!!! That was the toughest thing to give up!

I feel blessed!

So happy for you! I am going to do my first triathelon in October! I can't run the 5K portion, as my orthopedic surgeon advises against high impact on my artificial knee, but I can walk pretty fast. :) It is soooooo empowering to put this new body to the test! I agree that WLS is the best thing ever. Loving every minute of it!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
