Aww then I’ll have to go shopping again...

Honestly my loss has slowed way down to the maybe 2 lbs a week/month. Granted that doesn’t address the physical body dimension changes. I’m so very much out of the honeymoon fast dropping zone. Now it’s doing the work.
How long did your weight loss honeymoon phase last?

About 5 months. Basically on my 4 month anniversary I had emergency gallbladder removal. By the time I was back to 100% in late month 5 I’d slowed way down. Don’t get me wrong I’m just at month 7 and still loosing but not like before. Much more intentional and obvious if I’m not on my food/hydration/exercise plan/goals. By no means am I perfect.

@Philip E. Thanks so much! I'm still in disbelief that I've lost over 100 lbs. I thought it would take well over a year, but I did it in about nine months. Anyway, it sure has made flying easier, and I know that you will definitely be good to fly yourself whenever you are ready! Congratulations on your progress thus far as well!!!

NSV's of the week:

I bought a little something fancy for my date night with the husband this weekend. I purchased an XL corset, and even with the laces tied as tightly as possible it was way to big. I know they say to size down, but never did that before. And the (regular women's) XL sized thigh highs were huge! I swear I could have fit both legs in them LOL. (That's the running, It is honestly like someone sliced my legs in half I've lost so much weight in them.)

Also this gal can wrap a regular sized towel around herself without ANY gap! It doesn't look like some risque lingerie playing peek-a-boo anymore!

Totally almost forgot:

I got roped into eating lasagna (vegetarian, it was made for me as a surprise), but only had the filling of ricotta and vegetables. Didn't touch a noodle.

I’m pre-op right now, but down >30# from HW. Been walking a 3-mile route most mornings. It had become so enjoyable. Walking is so easy now. On nice days I agree to go outdoors.

My smaller belly allows me to be umm, closer to my partner during, umm, playtime. But seriously, there is a greater level of physical closeness, and that's important as we start this journey together.

I mostly wear jeans, sneakers, and long-sleeved Ts. I had to get dressed up to deliver a training the other day. OMG! My dress clothes were so much more comfortable. I wasn't all sweaty when I arrived to meet the host. That was a huge confidence booster. During the presentation I had everyone stand up and do some movements. I barely broke a sweat!

I'm so excited for the surgery and for this progress to continue. My WILW (When I Lose Weight) List is getting longer and longer. The first thing is riding ALL the rides at ALL the amusement parks.

This is my favorite thread, and I'm so excited to read it every day.

I forgot to mention the greatest NSV -- my latest BP at the doc was 110/73!!! I was floored. The meds help, too, but it hasn't been that low EVER.

Since I’m in a stall at the moment, I’m going to Celebrate a nsv from this weekend!
I was able to buy “normal” size clothes for the first time in I don’t know how long. I went on an Old Navy shopping spree fitting in to XL and XXL tops! 4 months ago I was wearing 2x and 3x!

Last night I went to a department store, to the Normal Human Woman section, to the FANCY part, and I bought a cocktail dress for the work holiday party. It’s a size 14 sheath covered in beads and the fabric has no give in it at all, and it fits like a glove. I have never, ever been able to try on a real embellished dress like this without giving off strong mother-of-the-bride vibes - when you’re heavy, they cut the fabric for apple shapes and put on insane flourishes. I’ve always had to pick out my nicest work dress and just hype it with makeup, hair and more sparkly jewelry.

This dress looks amazing. I genuinely can’t wait for my coworkers (some of whom don’t see me for months at a time) to see me in a style they’ve never, ever seen me in before.

@sideeye That is exciting! Isn't it fun blowing people's minds!?

I'm going to a meeting with my peer group at the end of this month. We only get together a few times a year. So they have will seen me go from size 20 --> 16 -->12 -->8. I'm so excited to show up as a legit normal/skinny person. (I'm also excited for my feet not killing me at the end of cocktail hour in heels!)

I'm also having fun with new styles. My fave new style is pencil skirt + body suit. I never would have thought I could pull that off!

Big NSV

I've gone from barely fitting a 3x to fitting into a 1x. It's like a whole clothing world is opening up. I shop at stores like Burlington and Ross and I feel like the plus size selection is sparse for 2X and up.

It's also kind of bittersweet. I'm getting off all of this weight that I've gained since having 2 kids and I'm learning that my body composition is.... Different. The biggest part of my body has always been my butt and thighs. My stomach is now the largest area. I'm still thrilled with the changes! Just learning to dress a new body type!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
