The first week it was very tough - couldn’t do it. I got so worried I phoned the surgical nurse and she told me to keep trying and do the best I can. She assured me it would get easer... and it did. I’m into my second week and I’m meeting my goal.

At times especially if too soon after food my liquids can cause me to vomit. I try and have my main bulk liquids at late night after meals. I give food priority as I can’t seem to get much in

Impossible to be honest. For about 2 weeks I couldn't get anywhere near my goal. All I did all day was sip, sip, sip and it was exhausting. It gets better. Now I can drink 32 ounces in a couple hours.

I'm 3 days post op (gastric sleeve) Today is the first day I think I will be able to meet my liquid requirements. No way it was happening the first two days. I learned the hard way trying to drink too fast. Dry heaves hurt one day after surgery!!!
