Hello From New South Wales, Australia

Hi,

Tomorrow I visit the nurse re-questions on lap banding.

My surgeon will be Dr. Nigel Peck and he operates at Port Macquarie Private Hospital, N.S.W. Australia.

I am 62 years old and weigh 128kilos, so am a little scared of surgery at my age. I was wondering if there were members on this forum who were similar in age to me.

Also, if there are any members from New South Wales here, as it would be lovely to share information with them.

I was told Dr. Nigel Peck does lap banding on patients between the ages of 18 and 65 years of age.

I have private health insurance, but was also told there could be extras adding up to 3-4 thousand dollars over and above my private health insurance, which I understand is normal.

Not quite sure where I fit into this forum, as a member, but am looking forward to making friends and sharing information.

Hugs, Kim xxxx:help:

Hi Kim and welcome.

I'm also from Oz and was banded on the 2nd of this month. I'm not from NSW but look forward to hearing how you go and getting to know you.

Cheers and all the best
