Surgery regret

I have had a barium swallow. They found I have a hiatus hernia which is basically making everything 10x worse. The hiatus hernia is causing terrible acid reflux which in turn is irritating the muscles in my oesophagus causing them to contract not allowing the food through or causing me to vomit. I've been referred to a GI specialist in the U.K. and put back on a liquid diet. Hopefully they will operate to fix the hernia and my symptoms will improve. Still can't eat very much at this current time. But I knew something was wrong.

That sucks! My surgeon found mine when he did my endoscopy and he said they were common in about 85% of patient....he fixed mine when he did the surgery which is causing me a liiiittle but more pain in the center which is actually the only incision that's uncomfortable but I hope your surgeon gets u in to fix it asap so you can be on your way to a better recovery....good luck!️

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I was sleeved on July 26th and my surgeon discovered a hernia which he repaired during surgery. You should feel a lot better after the repair of the hernia. Keep the faith.

I did not have an edescopy . , but they told me if they found a hernia they would fix it no aditional price i did not ask if they found out , but they said i might do as previous tummy surgery. . 6 weeks post op feeling normal away on holiday with family. its sad when people have these issues.
