There are more posts archived on Hair loss than anything else. Personally I started losing hair at 5 months, for approximately 2 years. I used Biontin for six months before the sleeve for two years. Worthless. I bought a good wig and thank God I did. Finally since Nov. 2013 to 2017 I have a head of healthy hair again. I quit coloring my hair and did everything possible to protect my fragile hair and nothing worked. Good luck. Invest in a wig just in case. I paid less than $200. Don't buy one without trying on. Hair extensions will pull out more hair. My opinion.

I started loosing a few months after surgery and I think it started growing back at about 10 months post op because at 12 to 13 months I could see 2 to 3 inch long hairs growing in all over my head. It was not fun, but I knew it was a real possibility and a minor inconvenience compared to getting rid of the weight.

So glad I saw this. I am 5 months out and did not think my Hair loss was too bad until my mom asked me why my hair was so thin... I have alway lost some hair due to thyroid, but it is getting worse. Didnt start until a month or two ago. All labs came back normal. I'll just keep trying to increase my Protein as much as I can.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
