2 weeks post-op, only two pounds down

Hello my name is Andrea I had my sleeve two weeks ago and I have only lost two pounds. This is really discouraging. Is this normal. I am following my dr's orders to the cue. The only think I do cheat is that I put a little honey in my yogurt but everything else is perfect. I'm drinking my Protein and my Water as well as my broths and Soups. I can't believe that after two weeks of only consuming liquids to the equivalent of no more than 800-900 calories a day I saw so little loss. I almost cried when I went to my dr today. What am I doing wrong? I am really depressed about this, especially since I hear of people losing so much weight at the beginning. My weight on the day of surgery was 240 now I'm at 238,

I would stay off of the scale for at least a month. Your body is desperately trying to heal, and nothing about the weight you are seeing is likely accurate right now. Just keep to your plan, honor your food stages, and the weight will come off in its own time.

My heart goes out to you. I gained weight from hospital when I got home...all the iv fluids and inflammation. But it did start coming off about 5 days after I got home.

What did your DR say at the visit?

I'm with blizair...stay off the scale and let your body do what it needs to do.
