Hello everyone,

I had Lapland surgery February 10th, had my first fill March 16 (1.5cc), I was feeling restriction in the beginning but now I'm able to eat a little more and not feeling much of a restriction. I only eat about twice a day, but I'm worried I damaged my pouch during the post op care (ate solids a little too soon). I don't have pain, no vomiting or nausea. I only lost about 1-2 pounds since the last fill. One day I'm 210, the next I'm 211.5, then back to 210 and today I'm 209.5. It's driving me crazy. Am I over thinking this? I'm going in for a second fill next week.

I'm very new to all this (operation was on 31/3/17), but the advice I have had is that you should eat more than twice a day. I know that may seem odd as to how to lose weight, but eating smaller and oftener is better than two larger meals. Eating more often will keep you feeling fuller, therefore you won't eat so much as you probably do when only having the two meals.

Before I had the operation, I lost some 16 pounds by changing my habit of not eating during the day then really going for it in the evening. Instead I ate small and often and it focussed on things like lettuce, Tomato, cucumber, beetroot with a small amount of meat or say scrambled eggs. Maybe give this a go?

Good luck!

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
