Hi everyone,

I am 3 days post op now. I am struggling trying to figure out what it means to be full or hungry. I have no stomach sensations so I don't want to overeat but I don't want to under eat. When did everyone get there sensation of their pouch?

You're not going to feel what full is like until you start eating solid foods. At 3 days post op you're still fully on liquids aren't you?

At 3 days I was definitely still on liquids. Full liquids yes, but certainly nothing blended.

It's hard to get a sensation of being full when you're just on liquids. Once you can have actual soft foods it'll be easier to tell. Are you measuring everything out?

At 3 days post op I was on Clear Liquids but i remember this feeling of being bloated almost. It was hard to drink what I was being asked to drink. I sipped like crazy for many weeks.

Once you get to the pureed stage, you should start to feel a little different.

On day 3 post-op I started with Clear Liquids. It would feel like I was bloated. That's when I would stop. After some time, I could feel the bloating go down. I learned that was the sign of my being full.

Same for me too. I agree with the comments above once you get to purée it's easier to detect.

Water still hurts me and I am 2 1/2 years out!! I add a few drops of Mio to mine and it seems to help and making sure it is not too cold helps also. I have to drink it slowly.

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
