Yes my hair loss has been quite bad but I was lucky it was quite thick to start. I've been taking zinc and selenium from boots and I've been using nioxin Shampoo and conditioner. It's used for chemotherapy patients. It's expensive but I think it's worth it. I've got lots of new growth x

Great. Right on track. 6 months today I had my op and I'm 6 stone down. Trying to cut down a little now as the next 6 months will be harder according to my surgeon. Suppose I'd better start exercising!

Good luck in September Ollie. I had surgery at the alaxander hospital in Cheadle. I keep wishing I might have got away with hair loss as I was expecting it earlier on. I'm now 5 months out. But I no It could still happen.

Professor Basil Amorri. He was brilliant. Surgery was about 25 mins. I was in 3 days post op with nausea but I'm not good generally with anaesthetic. I had a query a couple of days ago so I emailed him direct and he responded within 10 mins. The staff on the ward were fantastic. In particular a nurse called Andrea who was ?Russian. I would do it again there tomorrow. Hope you have an equally positive experience.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
