I'm officially 81 lbs down since I started my weight loss journey. I can't believe I've come this far and I'm just getting closer to my goal weight. I've set up 50 lb goal rewards for myself and not that long ago I hit my first weight loss goal. My reward was buy new underwear and burn the granny panties! lol Silly but it felt amazing to be two sizes smaller and not have to buy brief cut. VSG has been worth the pain and struggle. I never thought I would be the size I am now ever again.  Hopefully someone reads this post and find it either humorous or inspirational or both hahaha

I am new to bariatric pal and find it a bit overwhelmed .... where to start? I’m deciding between gastric sleeve and gastric bypass, have fatty liver, hyperaldosteronism, hypertension, sleep apnea... I hope to decide this fairly soon and get my  surgery scheduled. Glad to be here and getting around a bit. I a 279 and have about 120 lbs to lose as I’m 5’ 7”. Thanks for listening!

Welcome. Just keep coming back and posting. You'll figure it out. 🙂 Best wishes on your journey. I started wanting sleeve, but because of a hiatal hernia, had to get bypass. I've absolutely no regrets.

The scale still isn't liking me but AF is in full force, so I'm trying to cut myself some slack. The cravings for protein are still hard core, which is frustrating. I've re-upped my activity levels, which I think is contributing to my increased hunger, but I'm trying to stay busy and not think about food too much. The first two weeks of this liquid diet went so smoothly, I should have expected to hit a wall, now I just have to push past it. I can do this... I will be an outlier.
