I had a full yesterday after 2 years of being on 4ml. I am now on 6ml.

I got home and had a bit of yogurt and coffee. Took almost an hour. All was fine except for my noisy esophagus.

This morning I was OK, had some coffee sipping very slowly. Ever since I had the worst chest pain ever. Even struggling to breathe. I was sliming like crazy.

Couldn't take the pain so I went to my GP to take out a ml. GP couldn't help as he did not have a "huber needle".

I eventually burped and all was well. I had a few sips of milk as I haven't eaten in 24 hours. Barely took 2 sips before the pain returned.

It's the worst pain and I surely can't live with it.

So is the tight band somehow trapping gas in my chest? Will it go away or do I have to get unfilled?

I can only see doc on Friday and it's quite a drive there. Don't want to go unnecessarily.

Thank you.

This could be a slipped band and you need a scan urgently.

Gas should not cause this level of pain.

Go back to your doc at once and demand investigation.

Good luck and best wishes. A.

if you can keep the drink down... it's not slipped. Try taking some liquid ibuprofen, this will help. Stay with liquids...and if it persist go to dr. on Friday for a 1ml out. Try not to drink right before bed. I normally drink a hot cup of coffee about 30 min after i wake...

I had the same thing happen and it was because i had .5 to much... he took out and i have been great ever since.

It's been about 2 years since my last fill. I have the 14cc band and i have 10.5cc in now. some days are tighter than others... but all is good. I find on colder days i tighten up...

Good luck

Sounds a lot like you're too tight. Maybe take out .5-1 CC and all should be fine.

I've had probably 500 stuck episodes over the last 4 years and most were minor episodes that took a few minutes to solve. But occasionally I've got stuck and drank too much too fast and it can be extremely painful. Just make sure you continue to sip fluids so you don't get dehydrated before seeing your surgeon?

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
