I went into the mall and found some size 16 jeans bought them tried them on when got home and they fit!! Sooo happy but my confusion is that I have been on a stall for over a month and the scale goes up and down 2 and I feel like a failure. I know is part of te process but is hard when you have no support so that is why I come here!!! Just venting by the way I went from a size 22 to 16 and that great for me because I am curvy and even at small sizes before it is a struggle finding jeans.surgery was 8/17/16

Just because the numbers on the scale aren't moving doesn't mean your body isn't doing a tremendous amount of work to become smaller.

Think of stalls as as necessary to your weight loss as sleep is to your overall health.

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate and stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process.

Enjoy the size 16 jeans! You probably won't be able to wear them for very long.

Embrace the Stall!

Many people who experience a stall on the scale are still losing inches. That's why it's great to take your measurements regularly. So when the scale is being a bi***, you can go to the tape measure and still see some progress.

During my stalls I would quit weighing and start measuring! I would always lose inches during my stalls and that's usually when I would go down a size! :)

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
