Gallbladder out on Monday

If anyone read any of my other post, you know that I've have been having severe stomach pains and nausea and vomiting (dry heaving, actually, because there is nothing in my stomach), since my RNY on August 24. The first week after surgery was great, when I was on just Clear liquids but, when I started with purees - forget it it- I was in so much agony. I've been in the er 5 times in the past 2 weeks. ct scan looks great, they say. But one ultrasound showed some sludge in my gallbladder. They did a second ultra sound on Thursday and said there was quite a bit of sludge and some stones. So, Monday morning I will have my gallbladder removed. I'm kind of scared. Now that I am back on only Clear Liquids I feels great and am so very hungry. But, I know if I eat something I will be extremely sick. Today I am not well emotionally - physically I feel great. I am so depressed because I just want to feel like myself again. And, if I knew this RNY could be reversed, I would be standing in line begging for them to reverse it right now, lol. I just really hope and pray that this gallbladder surgery takes my problems away and I can get back to the land of living.

So sorry you are having this trouble but given it is this soon after your surgery, it seems likely you already had undiscovered gallbladder issues prior to surgery. I know how horrible and depressing it feels to feel so bad but you cannot live on liquids forever and I think you will feel so much better after you get the gallbladder out. I keep thinking I have issues with mine but 2 CT scans later, they keep saying everything is fine and not to worry until the pain gets bad. (Doesn't seem like best advice to me but what do I know. I can promise I will let them know if I ever get the horrible pain you have!) Look at it this way, at least you are getting it over with and not having to be sick for several more months and then go through another surgery and then have to recover again. Now you are getting it all done very quickly and then you will be on the road to recovery! Best wishes to you! I know you will do well and be on your way soon!
