I know they're good..my fridge is stocked but are they really a good source of Protein? The container claims 30g but is it really? I mean the first ingredient is Water. With 30 grams wouldn't you think the first ingredient would be whey Protein isolate?

I can't find any recent unbiased product information

if the package says 30g then it has to have 30g

I understand that however Protein products have a PDCAA score and I can't find one for them. Some products list a certain amount of protein but it's not the actual amount that the body absorbs.

My nutritionalist recommended them as one of the good quality choices. They have been my "go to" Protein for years now and I am doing well!

A premier Protein shake is 11 ounces. 30 grams is equal to approximately 1 Fluid ounce so Protein being the number one ingredient would me a very thick shake!!!

My Doctor recommended them so I would imagine they are okay. But I was told not to rely on them daily. Maybe twice a week, but nothing more than that.

My dr sells Unjury in the office but I'm an hour away from him. My next appointment isn't until Oct 10th. The Premiere is nice because I can get it local but it isn't on their list of recommended alternatives. Not sure if it's because it's not something they sell or what. I'm glad to hear some feedback. I do drink them quite often though. Maybe I should pick up some Unjury the next time I'm in the office.

From what I can tell from Google, whey isolate weighs 400g per liter (1000mL) this would mean that the 30g in one shake occupies a little less than 1 tablespoon (12mL). The whole shake is 11 Fluid ounces (about 330mL). The shake would be mostly Water because even with all the Vitamins and minerals, those things are in tiny quantities.

I guess I must just float along in my own world because I don't have deep questions regarding things like that. I don't worry about if it really is 30 grams of Protein in a Premier Protein shake or if a Coke is really all sugar. What's wrong with me?

Ha! But I count on people who really do think about these things to keep me up to date!

Seriously though, I think Premier Protein is pretty good choice for many of us and many NUTs recommend it as one to try. for me the main advantages are that it is palatable, I don't have to mix it and it is actually a bit "filling". I am nearly 4 years out and need food that sticks to my ribs a bit!

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
