My heart keeps getting stomped on

So the guy I loved for ten years last night gave me hope we would be together again one day. Now he says he doesn't want me! I Can't take much more of this

Oh honey...I'm so sorry he hurt you. I won't give you any kind or rah rah speech. Feel bad...cry..but don't lose focus on your health and weight goal. It will be so awesome as the weight drops and you look and feel better. Focus on that, OK. Hugs...

You have a new journey ahead of you. Think of yourself, keep busy, maybe it is a blessing.

Be selfish and focus on yourself. I'm single, my whole life revolved around myself and I enjoy it. If you focus on yourself and being great, people will flock to you.

There are billions of people on the planet, don't let one person have that much power over you. There are plenty of men out there.

Thank you all for your kind words. :)

Its been a roller coaster ride of a relationship and I'm now ready to get off and wish him well. It's all I can do. I have to take care of me.

Best revenge is to be insanely happy!

Honey, I have been thrown away twice. Once after a 23 year marriage and then after a 10 year marriage. I took a couple years off from the relationship scene to get to know myself. I had to find out what kind of music I liked, what food would I eat if I did not have to cook for someone elae, what would I watch on TV if I no one else grabbed the remote and changed the channel. What would I wear if I could pick out my own clothes without having to please someone else's requirements for my appearance, what would I enjoy doing on a day off without someone else telling me where to go and what to do.

Well, I found out that I am not a bad person and I LIKE me! So, yeah - be selfish and find out who you really are. Once you get a handle on that, it will be much easier to find someone compatible. And once you realize that your happiness and peace of mind come from within and not from what other people are thinking and doing, you will have such an incredible release! Sometimes when someone leaves, be it a disgruntled employee or unhappy companion, they solve more problems than they cause.

Yeah, my relationship has broken up recently. I'm glad though. This guy and I were not suited for each other even though we kept trying to make it work.

I'm sort of seeing another guy but he's already stomped on my heart once and it's hard for me to trust him now.

So VERY, very true!!

The best revenge IS to be super happy! (its a revenge that doesn't come back and bite you in the a** (unlike, say, putting sand in his gas tank. I don't recommend that haha!)

When I got divorced after 25 years (i was with my ex since I was 15) My girl friend and I started a list of firsts. a phsyical list of everything we did for the first time on our own. OMG was it a blast!!! it totally took over our minds from the hurt and pain and it brought so much excitement almost like being reborn again. Everything I was told I couldnt do on my own, Camping with my 2 boys by myself for the first time. Sex for the first time as my husband was my one and only...that was not as hard as I thought it was going to be lmao. anyway you get the point. no matter how insignificant the action was we wrote it down and wow did that list grow and fast and we were so happy it was crazy. Sort of like a bucket list. I even traveled to Alabama from Calgary alberta All by myself with a transfer in Newark. That day I can honestly say I GREW UP AND BECAME AN ADULT best day besides my divorce certificate of my life.

Thank you all so much for your kind responses. I truthfully have been over the relationship for three years, it just hit that he permanently shut the door when I thought it was always open. I know I'm better off!

Your stories about making lists are awesome! I need to do that. LOL

I keep thinking of Kelly Clarkson's Lyrics "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Stop talking to him. Block him.

He and his disease are jerking you around.

Don't put yourself in that situation again.

Move on.

It was so much fun. A friend of mine pointed out that I was 1 man away from being a virgin.... She was right! So let's just say my list had some really fun and scary stuff I never thought I could ever do in my life....I'm a very big prude lol. I had the time of my life even silly things like dancing to Christmas carols. 3 years after I met and married my best friend and earth angel

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
