22 Months Post Op - 155 Pounds Lost - Before & After Pics :-)

Recommended Posts

So after 22 months, losing 155 pounds, reaching my "dream goal" weight of 125 pounds and healing from my Tummy Tuck and panniculectomy, I took some before/after pics that I feel really embody the new me. It's been such an amazing journey, and I can honestly say that the change has been from the inside out, thanks to some hard emotional work with my therapist, dealing with the "eating issues" that really were not about food at all.

This journey has been absolutely amazing, and while the recovery from the TT was WAY harder than I expected, I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I Think my journey is complete now for the most part. I am waiting on insurance approval for an arm lift, and I was told I would hear by the end of June, so that is the only other thing that could possible make me feel any better physically.

And now that my TT is mostly healed (though i'll be sore for several more months) I'm back to running now, which emotionally makes me feel so much more grounded. It is my meditation.

Anyway....I just thought I would post this here for anyone coming on the "success stories" board to see if the surgery is right for them or could help them. I can tell you that for me, it has provided me the opportunity to make some changes I wasn't able to make before and I'm way happy with the results!

So here are my almost 2-year post op (post TT) before and after pics.

Good luck on the insurance. Waiting is the hardest part!!! I'm waiting on approval for my brachioplasty & they said I would hear no later than 30 days. Tomorrow will be 30 days. They are really pushing it! Lol

Lol that's actually really funny bc if you see my post just above, I'm waiting on approval for a brachioplasty or arm lift. They are the last part of me with excess skin. You just learn what angles to stand at to hide the wings. Here's a more realistic look at them lol. Thank you though! post-182723-14356184503314_thumb.jpg

Wow amazing !! Im contemplating the Tummy Tuck, more less my wallet is. I so need it but ugh $$$ !

Good for you and your such an inspiration to others. I've lost 97 pounds so far, everyone thinks I look just fine and if I lost more I would look sick. I only wanna lose 18 more and get a tummy tuck is that to much to ask for lol !

Congrats again on your success !!

        Hello Joset, why haven't you been given a diet plan? Did you have your surgery in the UK? Every surgeon has a different diet, and no two people are on the same one. Weird I know. Contact your team if you can

        Mine was two weeks clear liquids

        Two weeks on soups, milk shakes and broths all with out lumps

        two weeks on pureed foods { I couldn't stomach this step }

        two weeks on soft foods like Protein yogurt, stewed mince and veg, soft scrambled eggs. Pate on hard crackers

        Then onto any food I fancied. If you struggle on any step or with any foods go back a step for a few days. Eggs, salmon and chicken are hard for beginners.

        Sorry I missed your original post, hope you are still on here.
