Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

Wasabubblebutt - congrats on your weight loss - but it seems to me that you aren't getting any nutrition the way that you're eating. My Dr. would flip if all I had for a meal was a Protein shake! Aren't you afraid of becoming anemic or something?

im recently banded on the 27th of aug so im on mushies right now today i ate

B 1 egg with 1/4c low fat corned beef hash

snack small Decaf coffee with splenda

L can chicken with spinich dip

D chicken chilli 1/2c

any ideas how i can boost up my calarie intake im only getting aprox 500 cal aday any sugg?

I just heard, trader Joe's sells these flourless tortillia's. I'm going to get some and check them out, hopefully they taste ok

I'd be interested to know how they taste so keep us posted!

Today ~

Breakfast ~ Peanut Butter Protein Shake

Lunch ~ 1 Egg Scrambled w/ 1/3 C Potatoes O' Brien

Dinner ~ 4oz Parmesan Meatballs & 3 Bites of 5-Cheese Texas Toast

Got the tortillia's. They are not no carb, but very low, 11 g per serving and only 60calories..They are called Carb Counters. They didn't taste bad, tasted exactly how I thought a whole wheat flour tortillia would taste.

b-sf carnation instant Breakfast

s-1/4 chorizo, egg, cheese breakfast "muffin" topped with salsa

l- collard greens, catfish nuggets (4)

d- grilled shrimp taco (with carb counter), topped with salsa , lemon juice, shredded cabbage

s-homemade fruit and cool whip parfait

exercise 1 hr at the gym:thumbup:

yesterday -

b- 5.3oz blueberry greek yogurt w/handful of granola

l- salmon cake & 1/2c field greens

**rest of the day, not so hot - cowboy tailgate & game**

picked on a bunch of things, none low cal - food & drink:rolleyes:

Today

B-coffee, 2 bites of scrambled eggs and 1sausage

L-2oz. Buddig chicken and 1/2 Pork rinds

S- Pringles baked wheat stixs (90 cals)

D- 1oz steak, 2 T red Beans w/ 1 tsp cheese

I'm joining a wellness center today at a local hospital and I hope that will help me.

BlooEyezs, I see that you are really dropping the lbs. Congrats!!!!!:)

      Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
      I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

      Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
