Thank you that gives me a better Idea of what to expect I have 100 more to go after losing nearly 100lbs.

I had a similar situation after having lost 90 pounds "on my own" a few years back and I elected to have an extended Tummy Tuck with muscle repair. Fortunately, the results of tummy tuck withstood me regaining 80 of the pounds I lost and now that I am on my way back down the scale post-sleeve, my stomach is still nice and flat, with no excess skin. I even have some ab muscles coming in now that I'm losing the fat and I started doing strength training a few times a week!

You look great! I looked very similar to what you've posted above but I had more stretch marks (from pregnancy). You look like you have good muscle tone under your loose skin. Again, you look amazing and congrats on your success!

I recently had a panniculectomy along with a belly button fix and am totally amazed with the results. I skipped the abdominal plication (where they stitch together your abs) and am so happy I did - less $ and easier recovery! I only wish I'd been thinking ahead enough to have had him Lipo my back fat when he did my panni!

If you are thinking plastics my advice is find a great surgeon and make your consult for a panniculectomy because they'll know from the get-go that you might have an insurance option for part of what you want done. If you get lucky and your insurance will cover a panniculectomy the out of pocket cost will be radically different.

Good luck!

I can't wait! I'm losing in my back, butt, and legs, but my belly doesn't seem to be moving much. You have definition and look great. I'm so hopeful that I will be able to lose some of this extra in front- even if it does come with some loose skin.

Thankyou and I'm getting a Tummy Tuck and breast lift with implants it's costing 18,500 but I'm hoping it will be worth every penny and worth the pain! Anyone have advice on recovery I'm pretty scared! Here a picture of my full bodypost-196523-14235197917574_thumb.jpg

I am contemplating a panniculetomy I have a apron . I have about 10 more lbs I want to lose then I will go for consult. Was it painful? how long was the recovery?

I've also lost around 150 lbs. and my tummy looks alot like yours. I have flabby thighs, a saggy ass, breasts that look like I fed all of Cleveland, and a turkey neck. I think about plastic surgery all the time and might have work done in the future. I need a break from any surgical procedures as I've had several over the past two years but I will consider it for 2016 if I still feel the need. I haven't had a flat stomach since I was 16 years old and part of me wants that fixed badly. The other part of me feels that I shouldn't be so critical of myself.

I hope to have a better handle on my motivations next year so that I make the right decision for me and not for anyone else.

I can't wait for my plastics I'm terrified of the pain bc I'm a huge baby and had the hardest time with recovery from my gastric bypass but I feel I've earned this i worked my butt off literally to be healthy and fit now I wanna be happy and feel comfortable in clothes I have to constently tuck in my skin and my breasts are like a 100 year old lady my arms don't bother me but the loose skin from my breast and belly honestly hurt the more weight I lost the more pain I was in I can wait to wear jeans comfortably and feel like a 26 year old!! Instead of the old women I feel like now so I'll spend the 18,500 dollars to be comfortable in my own skin I need skin removed from my thighs but that can wait!!!

@@hkdontplay I think you will be thrilled with the outcome. I had the same surgeries you are planning, Tummy Tuck with muscle repair and breast lift with implants. I unfortunately had some complications after my surgery. I had some necrosis around my right nipple, which sound horrible, but it really was NOT a big deal, and 3.5 years later, I hardly remember it. The more major complication I had was Fluid pooling in my lower back that made standing and sitting painful for months. I was only comfortable lying on my side. I had to miss much more work than I anticipated, working half days for a long time. I had my surgery on August 2, 2011 and it wasn't until mid January, 2012 that I was able to sit in a chair all day.

That being said, even with all that trouble, I would do it all over again. I LOVE my flat stomach. It held up through my weight regain and it is holding up now that I'm losing again post-sleeve. I am so thrilled with my decision to have had the surgery and I am grateful that I will finally be able to reap the full benefits of it now that I am sleeved and finally going to be able to maintain a lower weight.

I wish you the best of luck. I hope you don't experience any complications, but even if you do, think long-term. You will get through whatever fate throws your way and a few years from now, any issues will be a distant memory and you will still be enjoying the benefits of your surgery!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
