Recommended Posts

And, drum roll please, current weight is 273! Slowly but surely!

Thank you so much!! I have lost now a total of 70 pounds which was not possible without the sleeve!! We got this girl!! We have got to use this tool to help us get there! I have to admit I am still trying to get to where I can exercise like I want. I walk 45 min a day 5 days a week! Starting to lift light weights...I have some serious flab going on... hee hee...but I am doing right and I am learning to be patient with myself!! I tell my self it will pay off if I do right and so far I am very pleased! Keep in touch!!

Yes we can Queen P! There is much encouragement and useful information on this site. So thankful that we have been given such a wonderful opportunity ti effect a lifestyle change that is and promises to be so life altering. I couldn't have done this on my own, not even going to lie. I don't intend to waste it. I'm increasing my exercise also. I will stay in touch as we traverse this journey!

Congrats all you guys!

I've lost 103 lbs -- 36 more to go. This last week I started being able to run on a soft track again without my knees hurting--first time since high school. Ran 2 miles without a break! My birthday is in early July so not going to get to my goal by then, but maybe below 200. I am starting to not recognize myself in the mirror.

Been 203 for 2 weeks now..bummed but not discouraged!! Protein is still a challenge! Still can't tolerate shakes. Just got some GENEPRO hopefully that will get me where I need to be!! Started really walking 1 week ago! 500-600 cals daily. Is that to little? Trying different foods..some ok..some not so good!! Ready to reach my first goal of 50 pounds. I am trying not to weigh myself everyday. But I just can't help myself! ! Hee hee!!

Queen P I had surgery on Dec 9, 2014 so close to you.

I plateau at every multiplier of 10, and I was stuck just above 200 for a while. I wonder if you are getting enough calories, I know upping mine a little, even for a few days, can jump start me. Starting to walk is putting a demand on your body for a few more calories too. Exercise is a big factor in loosing. Also Water is important. I can't preach about that one because it is my worst area! Getting protein is important but my surgeon says to try to limit the shakes and get it from real food. A low fat cheese stick wrapped in some low fat deli meat makes a good high protein snack. Also P3 Snacks are good. They are usually near the lunch meat at the grocery. I do use Protein Bars and shakes for Breakfast just because I am not a traditional breakfast food person. Good luck and hang in there! You can do it.

Lost 114. But I discovered I'm not 5'11" like I used to be. I've shrunk to 5'10" (sniff). So I'll probably need to readjust my goal weight. Also, after thinking I had dropped into the overweight category and left obese behind forever, my new height sent me back to obese (double sniff). I'm thankfully, back to overweight now (barely) and am still losing on average 10 lbs a month. Even with my bureaucratic snafu setback, I'm still very happy.

I'm down to a 36 pants size from 48!

I have also noticed a pattern of weight loss where I tend to do all my weight loss in 3-4 days followed by a week of stagnation/small gains.

I am so out done with the shakes anyway! Lord knows I have drank enough shakes to last me a lifetime!! I uped my calories and I dropped 2 pounds. I am at 163 now my goal is 140!! Seems so far off!! I don't get enough protein I know but I have it every meal and every snack! We will get there! We just have to keep our eyes on the prize!!! Healthy, skinny and looking GOOOOOD! HEE HEE

        Hello Joset, why haven't you been given a diet plan? Did you have your surgery in the UK? Every surgeon has a different diet, and no two people are on the same one. Weird I know. Contact your team if you can

        Mine was two weeks clear liquids

        Two weeks on soups, milk shakes and broths all with out lumps

        two weeks on pureed foods { I couldn't stomach this step }

        two weeks on soft foods like Protein yogurt, stewed mince and veg, soft scrambled eggs. Pate on hard crackers

        Then onto any food I fancied. If you struggle on any step or with any foods go back a step for a few days. Eggs, salmon and chicken are hard for beginners.

        Sorry I missed your original post, hope you are still on here.
