I had my sleeve surgery may 2012. At the beginning of my journey I was 298.....I am currently 199 and I'm very upset disappointed and let down. I've fallen back into old habits. I need help from my fellow sleevers to help me push to lose the other 49 pounds I want to lose. I am starting tomorrow back on my shakes. Please feel free to contact me with help motivation tips or whatever you got

Much love

@@jwaller75

i see you just found our lovely little group and joined us this month

welcome welcome, and welcome :)

not sure if i can tell, have you gained weight??

hope not

but if you did that's ok

you are back on track

if you didn't gain.......woohoo :)

knowing the problem is half the battle

so you are half way there!! :)

good for you on starting shakes again

that will give you that helpful push

do you remember all the rules???

do you still have a NUT (nutritionist) you can talk with, ask questions

if not, maybe you could find to a NUT a couple of times for some assistance / help

"we" are all here to share our experiences, answer questions, give suggestions and give support :)

but we are not doctores

we can't "officially" tell you things you should do medically -a doc needs to advice you

you need to find a doc for that

always listen to a doc

family doc???

kathys' partial refresher course 101 ;)

FREE today!!!!

stop drinking 1/2 hour before you eat

don't drink with meals

don't drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat

drink at least 64 oz of Water daily

small/moderate portions

when you eat

have Protein first

as much as possible - 40,50,60 etc

dense Protein like chicken will help you feel full quickly

watch your carbs

don't drink soda

use myfitness pal to track your food

excercise

walking is good

you have done so well

you lost 100 lbs (ok 99, but close enough)

not a shrink, but you might have uncontinuously tried to sabotage yourself

maybe you were getting so close towards goal doing so well, you got scared

decided to go back to those bad habits

KNOCK IT OFF!

you made the smart decision last year to lose weight with the help of the sleeve

you were doing great!!!

i know you can get back on track

i have confidence in you :)

get back on the road to a healthier, happier, longer life

who deserves it more

good luck

kathy

This happens to a lot of people specially when they lose very quickly because you have not had time to adjust and learn from old mistakes.

You can do the 5daypouchtest to get you back on track www.5daypouchtest.com and then you need to get really mentally in tune and listen to your body. don't eat when you are not hungry and do not wait until you are full to stop...do not eat fatty junk foods..just tell yourself I don't eat that ...don't say I cant eat that....denying yourself will just make you want it more...just be resolved and say, I do NOT eat that ....

Drink your Water, and I think after the 5 day pouch test you will be back to the basics and you will have found your groove again.

You went though too much to let this happen....Dont wait to start, start now right this minute right this second regardless of what you already ate today.

Good luck and I hope you find it in yourself to want to finish the game.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
