You'll have to try different things until you find what works for you. I know want you're saying. (TMI) I thought I was going to have dig it out the first few times when I finally got to go. I now use a cap full of Miralax every day. Best of luck to you.

I can't say it enough. Smooth Move Herbal Tea. I drink a cup before bed every couple of days.Yogurt with Probiotics is also good. Jamie Leigh Curtis was right. Prunes, too.

I had this problem in the beginning as well. I couldn't go for some time after my surgery as well. I talked to the doctor and they told me to continue with the miralax. It's really the best option for you. Beware of stimulants because that will cause you pain. Hope you get some relief soon!

Ok so I had my surgery on Jan 7 and still have not pooped!!! I have taken miralax the last 4 days, and it am getting so nervous for when it does come ( if it ever does) I am getting 90 gr of Protein, 64oz of Water, and all my Vitamins. The surgery was a breeze but I developed a Large hematoma that is very painful so I am still taking pain meds. What do I do???? I am normally an every day kinda girl. Is this normal, anyone have any advice?

take 4tbsp of Milk of magnesium followed by 20oz of water & relief will come within 24 hrs pain free & no diahrea effect.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
