I am two years out. Never really met goal , but was/is very happy I lost 120lbs. Recently stress has been heavy. I'm staying on my schedule, still seem to be gaining weight. Any suggestions?

When you say you're staying on your schedule, what do you mean by that?

Start logging your intake and count calories again.

Go back to basics and take a few days of liquid Protein only. Then next eat in this fashion....Protein, veggies, fruit. and then carbs. Best to eat complex carbs for the best results of nutrition.

Some people finish where you are and others lose more. It depends on your body type and if you are still on point then maybe you are done and need to maintain.

Watch stress eating it can be a real challenge...Try to stay between 5-10 lbs without going over 10 in gain......Maybe you might want to look into the 5-2 plan on here. A lot seem to feel it works.......

I have written lots about this - but go back to basics is really it in a nutshell. The veterans forum in particular has alot of posts on this subject. I am 2.5 years out - surgery was Dec 2011 - and maintaining at goal. right now, life has thrown me some awful curveballs so I am definately looking to this forum for ongoing support to keep me on track.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
