Does anyone eat fruit? If so what fruit? I'm 4 months post op and I've been craving fruit a lot. I had some watermelon for a snack (I hardly snack) i really enjoyed it though.

I started eating fruit at about 4 months. Started with apple sauce. I would add fresh fruit to my shakes (melon, raspberries, strawberries, banana, mango, blue berries, black berries) and the blender allowed me to "eat" the fruit without having problems with texture. I was not able to eat an apple or an orange till 6 months. I am now 2 weeks shy of my 1 year anniversary and I still get most fruit with my Protein shakes. I made SF Jello with extra Protein (I add the profect protein shot and ice as the cold Water needed to make the jello) and added canned fruit (rinsed to remove the juice) and cottage cheese. This will be my snack tomorrow afternoon. I calculate there is 9 gm protein in a serving.

I like to add fresh bananas and blueberries to my shakes in the morning. :) I also sometimes eat the fruit cups with sliced peaches.

Usually two fruits a day. Most of the time I add this to my shake.

pineapple, banana, strawberry, peach, pear, ...watermelon. Watch your portion.. 1/2 banana is one serving. 1/2 cup pineapple that I add to my cottage cheese is also 1 fruit serving. Watermelon is very high in sugar. Z1 limit myself to one cup.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
