Doctors are different and you are different... you should call your doctor... I take a Multi-Vitamin, D3 and coq10, and Calcium citrate...but that's what meets my needs, you need to find out what fits yours...

good luck

By three months out you should of had a follow up blood test. If not.....get one. A blood panel will indicate where you stand with your levels and if anything needs adjustment.

I'm 3 months out down 60lbs but not sure I'm getting enough Vitamins? What and how much are we to be taking?

I am five months post op from the sleeve and take daily multi Vitamin gummie, and calcium citrate chews from Bariatric Advantage. To my understanding this is a permanent substitute that needs to b taken for sleeve patients. Majority are also on sublingual B12 as well to my understanding.

I take 3 calciums, 2 flintstones, 1 B12, 1 D3, 1 cranberry, and 1 green tea extract every day. Sounds like a lot, but I have timers set on my work computer to go off when it's time to take one, so it doesn't interfere with anything. Actually, I only take my Vitamins Monday-Friday. Almost never on weekends. My levels have always been on target. The cranberry and green tea extract are extras I've added, not required by doctors.

I’m a sleeve patient and have been compliant and successful and reached goal weight years ago. I swear by Vita4Life. I’ve tried all the chewables and they just didn’t work for me. I wound up with deficiencies of some kind or worse, sick stomach or Constipation so bad I had to stop them. I take sublingual B12, multi standard and Calcium chelate. I agree with others that you should get your labs done and see where you’re at and take it from there. J Good luck!

Try to get your labs done regularly . Mine have been good so far and I have been able to reduce the amount of supplements I need to take greatly. Currently I only take a multi and a Calcium supplement. I also take Biotin for my hair but my doctor does not require it.

If you Baristric program doesn't do them, have you pcp do them at least every 6 mths. Mine were done at 6 weeks, 3 mths, 6 mths and I'll get another panel at my annual. You want them gone regularly so that you can catch any deficiencies before they become problematic.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
