There's nothing wrong with eating a banana. If you're craving it, enjoy it, it's all good. As long as you're eating it as part of a Protein and Vitamin rich diet and by eating it, you're not depriving yourself of the space for other vital nutrients.

Try not to let the weird and the wonderful get to you on here! :)

I eat a whole banana with crunchy Peanut Butter spread on it. I freeze bananas as well and use them in my Ninja blender with my Protein shake!

Bananas have been approved for me since the puree stage.

My NUT's concern about bananas is the high glycemic value - especially really ripe bananas.

BUT, I say everything in moderation. If you want a banana, eat a banana. It's not a jelly donut, right?!?!?

I never eat a whole banana (or any non berry fruit). I use it as an ingredient often by the thirds. I track my numbers and let them decide.

I was told by my dietician to be very careful with bananas because they are rich in calories. A serving of banana is a half of one. She also said to pair it with a Protein and limit

To one per day.

I am 2 months out and currently taking antibiotics for a bad Clostridial infection. The antibiotics are very irritating to my sleeve and I can barely eat/ drink anything. Supposed to take meds with food. Thank goodness for bananas! It's one of the few foods I can tolerate right now. I eat 1/3 small banana each time I take my antibiotic (three times/day). They weird thing is I was never a big banana fan before surgery.

Love bananas! I put them in my Protein drinks, and smoothies YUM! I've never been told by my doctor to steer clear of them. Bananas are not on my lovely "don't not touch list".

I avoid because they have a LOT of sugar (high glycemic as said before). I am being VERY controlled when it comes to sugars of ALL kinds and refined carbs. Just me though.

I eat 1 to 2 bananas a day. It has really good Vitamins in it. As for the sugar I have always been told eat then early in the day and you burn off that sugar. It has a good amount of potassium, andi found when I stopped eating them my potassium was off in my blood work. I am able to eat an entire banana without any problem and use them as my in between meals snack. I for some reason get a little nauseous when I pair it with Protein. I am 1.5 years pot op!

I eat a whole banana almost every day. I usually eat it with Peanut Butter as a mid-morning snack. I don't eat much else for fruit so I figure I'm allowed a banana as long as I have some Protein with it.

It has hit me today, as I sit in my chair at work that I don't have my belly sticking out to where it would hit the desk. Oh and I can cross my legs more comfortably. It amazes me just how much I have loss in inches vs actual pounds, I have lost 24 lbs all together. But I believe in inches all over about 3 inches. I am noticing more energy and have pep to my step. My skin is a lot clearer. My watch band is shorter by 3 notches. the little things are what I am noticing. When I bend over I don't feel out of breath or I am going to fall over ( weeble wobble).
I am having a hard time with my sweet tooth, it is very hard to not want to get some ice cream or chocolate. Candy I can do without. I have no craving really for that, just chocolate and ice cream. I have gone as far as taking Popsicle and putting them in my mixer with almond milk and making like ice cream with that/ sometimes I have added un-flavored protein powder.
I feel better everyday. The energy is great to have with having younger kids and being able to have the energy to keep up. 😃

If anyone has any advice on how to make your stomach feel better after you eat something you shouldn't have or at too fast, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! It's painful on both sides of my abdomen (like to the point I'm doubled over and using a hot water bottle in addition to medicine) and I'm really nauseous (the thought or smell of food is 🤢).
