Vegetable Juice

Was trying to figure out how to get my Vitamins in. I already have absorption issues preop. I looked at the Naked Green Machine. Too much sugar. I hate straight Tomato juice. Any recommendations?

I haven't been able to find any juices that work for us with teh carbs/sugar balance. I've tried eating veg Soups but honestly, if I do that, I don't have enough room to get in my Protein. I'm worried about not getting enough veggies, but I don't really know what else to do. I take my Vitamins and try to eat a little veg frequently.

I'm about 4 months out.

I tried juicing pre-op but it made my husband's and my blood sugar go up by 10 points in one month, so I had to stop. But I think there are people who do juice. Hopefully one of them will answer this thread.

What did work for me initially was to make high Protein Soups with a blend of chicken and veggies, or shrimp and veggies, and puree them. I have some of those on my blog and they can be found if you search for "full liquids". For whatever reason, I don't seem to make them that much anymore. Maybe that's a thought.

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
