It's common when your losing weight! I live in Minnesota, and the below freezing temps have arrived. But I like having layers on..hence the reason I live up here.

I did read few days ago that your body balances out eventually, but not for several months.

:-)

Freezing for 9 days! So different from my usual sweat covered body. In Wyoming and 20 degrees in the mornings. Soooooo cold!

I have been told it is normal after surgery as your body diverts energy to healing. I had lap band surgery in 2010 and didn't even out my body temperature for about a year. Am 2 1/2 weeks out with sleeve revision and have moments of feeling frozen :) It does get better, especially once you can move and gain energy after healing.

It's all about burning off the body fat instead of burning up the carbs the carbs you eat. I froze after my lap band in 2007 and here I am again freezing my stuff off! Totally normal in the way the body processes energy and your metabolism. Welcome to the club.

I am always cold. (never used to be)

I asked my case manager nurse about it 2 days ago.

She said well you just lost a layer of blubber.

I am still preop , but have lost over 40 pounds on the liquid diet and I am always cold already. It is such a change for me I used to be the 'Shorts year round' guy. I live in Ohio we are already hitting low 30s at night. Big adjustments coming I guess

Yup freezing over here too! I was so cold that I had to research it a little. I've read a couple of things...yup we lost that insulation we are used to and the removal of the grehlin.

I noticed it takes me Alot more work to sweat as well.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
