1.Better self esteem- feel sexy on a dress.

2. Family portraits

3. Go to my kids school and not feel like an embarrassment

4. Go on trip with my hubby buy only 1 plan ticket

5. Walk/run in walk for the cure.

6. Teeth bleached.

7. New clothes- not plus size

8. Not being called sweetie pie, cutie pie, or something sweet cause I look jolly ????

9. Wear heels anytime I want

10. Love myself in my skin

I just want to tell you that you are beautiful! (and your kids are lucky to have you there. I am a teacher, and the only embarrassment as far as kids are concerned, are the parents who don't care enough to show up). I am praying for you sister!

Here's my list:

1. Finally take that family portrait

2. Not be depressed every time I see my reflection

3. Not (purposely) being the one always BEHIND the camera

4. Being able to wear lingerie for my guy and KNOW that he is turned on

5. Be able to have sex standing up (because he can lift me up)

6. Shopping for pencil skirts and new professional clothes with high heals.

7. Wearing jeans again (it has been 15 years... I refuse to buy anything that isn't yoga pants for fear of what size I truly am these days).

8. Running, working out, and Actually being able to do yoga and bend the way I am supposed to.

9. Being able to cross my legs.

10. Turning heads again, and seeing the faces of people who haven't seen me in a while.

Be a lap swimmer, like every day before work

I took up swimming (after 25 years without it) in 2015.

I was nine months shy of retiring work and 22 months away from my (then unplanned) weight loss surgery.

I swam two hours before work most weekdays (and often, 2-3 times per week, went back for a relaxing slower 90 minute swim after work). Three hours Saturday and another 2-4 hours on a Sunday.

Post retirement, I swam 13 days per fortnight for 3-4 hours each morning.

Now, post-WLS, I am back doing 3.5 to 4.5 hours almost daily. Have only missed two days in two calendar months.

Gotta say, it's improved lung capacity, general endurance ... and it's had a positive effect on adult fun with my wife.

I could not be any more positive about swimming as an improver of life. (Best part is the suspension of almost all joint pain while in the water!) RECOMMENDED!

Walk by mirrors without grimacing.
Stop looking like someones grandma although I am one.
Being introduced as myself not riding on someone's coattails e.g. so and so mother, sister, aunt. I do have a name.
Walking into a store not having to look for the ugly dresses in the back
Wearing any shade of color I want.
Getting the chance to dress younger if I want
Getting on doctor's table and not worrying the momentum will pitch me over the edge.
Not lapping, over the edge on all sides.
Travel to overseas countries
Walking into a store and not worry about the prices.
taking pictures that I don't have hide behind walls, trees or stand in the back row.
Chairs that don't make ducky noises when I get up
Being to get up off of furniture of any heights.

2. Shop in a regular store

Having dropped from 7XL or 8XL shirts/tops to XL or 2XL in the last 11 months, I certainly appreciate that I now pay $7.95 for a rash vest or t-shirt rather than $29.95.

I know being ultra-large used a lot more lycra or cotton but I am pleased about the 65% price saving on many common items.

1) Buy a BMW motorcycle and not have to immediately have the suspension replaced with one for my weight (I've owned three BMWs and had to do it on all three).

2) If I get all the way to my goal of 200 pounds (or lighter), I'm buying a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S convertible!

3) Start camping again, and possibly motorcycle camping again.

4) Take a motorcycle tour of the Alps in Europe.

5) I would love to fall in love again; have a companion to do things with.

6) Go hiking again in Arches National Park.

7) Replace my entire wardrobe.

8) Learn to fly an airplane.

9) Go to graduate school and earn my MS and my PhD.

10) Have professional photos / headshots taken.

8) Learn to fly an airplane.

Macadamia - you should check out Civil Air Patrol. It's easy to check this off your bucket list.

I have to admit, several posts on this thread inspired me and reminded me of the things I could do when I lose the weight. So here’s my list, in no particular order:
1. Cross my legs
2. Sneeze without peeing
3. Rock climbing
4. Run a 5k
5. Be comfortable wearing shorts (and not capris)
6. Buy a swimsuit that doesn’t have a skirt
7. Get a tattoo
8. Waterskiing
9. Snow Skiing
10. Sex. More energy for it, more fun positions to try.

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
