Don't beat yourself up over something you can't control, you did not have control over a medical problem with your gallbladder. This his a process and finding what works for you will take trail and error, it's not pass or fail. Many Blessings and Speedy Recovery.

What does your doctor say? Have you thought of getting a second opinion?

What about softer foods like refried Beans? That was my go to..I mixed Protein Powder (unflavored) in them with cheese and sour cream. Now I still eat it with meat and parm chips. I also ate yogurt and pudding. You can mix powder with those too. chicken can be tough bc it can be dry. I still can't barely get it down.

I would try to stick to liquids or puréed foods for a few days. I'm 3 months out and am still on puréed. I felt like it would never get better too, but the past week I have been feeling much better. Less nauseous and able to eat and drink better. Some people just need more time, and don't forget you had a second surgery to recover from. Best of luck to you.......

I just started eating and nothing sits well. Nothing feels the same as it did. It is not fun and it is not enjoyable. I eat lunch meat and cheese. It takes a while and if I eat too much I get sick for about 20-30 min.

You have had a tough road, I think I would try to just keep eating. Eat one slice of lunch meat. Then when you get brave try more and more. I think the stomach is like everything else on your body. If you don't use it you loose it. Have you ever seen an arm after 6 weeks in a cast? It looks terrible, skinny, no muscle, joints don't move... You are 9 weeks and have not put food on three. It is completely healed by now.

If you are coughing up brown stuff you are dehydrated. I was just like you when I had my surgery in May. I could not eat nor drink and I was coffee up brown stuff. I had to be admitted in the hospital had a very bad case of dehydration and my kidney was not doing good either. However I made it through and all is good now.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
