What are february sleevers eating?

Recommended Posts

I was eating a scrambled egg with salsa and cheese for Breakfast. Now I'm eating cottage cheese and mandarin oranges.

I'm beginning to realize potatoes are going to be my problem food too. I was eating it in the beginning because I felt like it helped my Protein go down' date=' now I want potatoes all the time!

Have you tried low fat cottage cheese you can add sugar free peach preserves. I love2 T vanilla greek yogurt low carb with 1T peanutt butter this is my ususual breakfast. Also the Buffalo chicken from the sharing recipes post is great. The canned chunk chicken with wedge of laughing cow cheese, 1/4 c mozzerella and tobasco sauce warmed just enough to make it gooey.... Also Shelly's baked ricotta from The world according to eggface is also very good, it's like lasanga minus the Pasta. tuna salad, egg salad... I'm still eating about 3 T of Protein source per meal, 2-3 supplements according to my protein needs. I'm 6 weeks out today and my nut. said I could increase to 2-3 oz protein and 1 oz non-starchy veg and/or fruit at week 8. Hope this gives you some ideas. And I can't handle the shakes either, but I really like protein hot choc. and some of the drinks and protein Soups.< /p>

Seafood goes down easy. I'm clear for all meats, veggies, and fruits though.

I am 6 weeks today. I have an egg or some turkey bacon for Breakfast. lunch us usually shrimp. It's SO HIGH in Protein and it goes down nice and easy. I buy the bagged, precook end frozen, ad it's perfect. Snacks are cheese sticks rolled with turkey lunch eat. dinner is usually a piece of chicken, steak or porkchop. Almonds are good with a few dark choc chips for a treat. I get nearly 80g if protein a day and its just by eating these few things.

How much have you lost since surgery?

I'm down 27 pounds. I'm in a stall now. How about you?

I know exactly how you feel. My Protein shakes alone are 440 cals so I know I eat more than 700 a day. I'm always hungry and I have not felt restriction not one time. I feel natious if I eat too much but I've never felt full or even satisfied. It's very frustrating for me.

what kind of Protein shake are you drinking? You should try for one with at least 20 g of Protein, minimal carbs, and no more than 200 calories. Muscle Milke lite and Premiere are good, or you can use whey Protein powder in a blender with some almond milk. Maybe add some PB2 (powdered protein powder).

Have you tried any of the Morningstar vegetarian Proteins? I like the veggie meatballs with some ricotta, sauce, and parm cheese (about 3 veggie meatballs with the other stuff for about 18 g of protein). Also, the "patties" are good (breakfast patties like sausage but vegetarian)--10 g of Protein each. The fake chik 'n strips are good too.

Are you a fan of chili? I make it with really lean hamburger and extra kidney beans.....lots of protein!!! It doesn't upset my stomach, however I don't make it spicy.

Where do you get that kind of stuff? Like the meatballs? I drink the body fortress Protein Powder with skim milk. The milk is 80 cal for 8oz and the powder is 140 per scoop. I drink two a day (well I try) and they have 26g of Protein per shake. I usually get all my protein in but all the protein I try including the shakes make me feel awful.

You can get the Morningstar products in any major grocery store in the freezer section. I would just ask a worker where the vegetarian burgers are. The shakes sound good--I thought you meant 440 calories for 1 shake, but that's for two...got it! I use the ready-made ones or make mine with almond milk or soy milk, but I would think skim is fine too if you can tolerate the lactose and aren't trying to cut calories right now (almond milk is good when you are watching calories or want to spend them on other things bc it's 40 calories/cup--but it also doesn't have much protein).

I will look for these today. So far I've only tried pieces of chicken, ham, fish, and shrimp. I would live some meatballs or patties.

I was using almond milk but its kind of pricey. Someone told me soy milk can cause cancer so I don't wanna drink that. I want to cut calories as much as possible so maybe I'll just suck it up and stick to almond milk. How many calories should I be consuming at 5 weeks? I know everyone is different but I feel like I eat too much.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
