Really this doesn't seem possible. What are you eating? Did you lose more but gain it back? The sleeve is just a tool for weight loss you need to put in the effort to be successful.

well, I hate to be the bringer of bad news but what you probably need more than a mentor is behavioral modification and contrary to popular belief, only you can find the motivation within yourself tomake the changed you ALREADY know you need to make.

That being said, there is something to be said for keeping successful people around you. When I notice someone on the VST forums who has done exceptionally well and has reached their goals I send them a message to find out about their strategies and I add them as friends. I do not keep people on my friends list who are always first to jump into negativity.

What I find is that most people who have lost all or most of their weight have a few things in common, they don't have pity parties for themselves, they do not make excuses, and they take their guidelines seriously. I know its no fun to pull out a binder full of rules and boring food recommendations but people who do well stick very closely to their surgical guidelines.

The same usually goes for every VSG patient.

1st you have to get Protein in. 2nd you need to get vegtables in 3rd you can have carbs if your not to full.

You should get as much Water as possible and take your Vitamins, that is very important.

You have a very low BMI so I think maybe that is why your weightloss might be slow. Good luck

Feel free to ask any questions we are hear to help.

Hello - Since you are in the Middle East, I am not sure culturally how different our diets are. But, try to avoid breads, pastas, and even rice. Focus on meats, fruit, and vegtables for your meals. Make sure you chew reallly well, and if you have an area to take a walk, get your kid and go for a walk together.

Since we don't really know what you've been doing for these 16 months that has not worked well for you, it is hard to offer advice. But, I hope that maybe these things will help you. Also, as the person above said, you might lose weight a little slower if you have less weight to lose. What is your goal?

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
