Liquid Viagra/Cialis ?

Recommended Posts

Here's the deal. I'm completely capable of getting to round one, however long it takes. Round 2 is usually a challenge. I did some digging around on the internet and discovered they make both Viagra and Cialis in a liquid (gel) form. Question for the guys:

#1 - Is it OK to take liquid Viaga or Cialis after surgery without it being harmful? I understand this is a question for my Dr. but I'm not going to see him for a couple months and thought I'd poll the group to see if it's already been asked.

#2 - Has anyone taken the liquid gel Viagra or Cialis and what were the results...or I should say, did it work? any adverse side affects?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Sounds like a better question for your doctor.

Although I haven't had any issues in this area, I've had the same PCP for 20+ years, he's like family and is a great guy. A few years ago (actually on my 40th birthday) he gave me a paper bag full of samples of all three (as pills not the liquids) and said here, try this, you'll be like a 16 year old again. Well he was right. Not ideal for every situation but it makes things fun when you use it.

Fast forward to post surgery, I've popped a few levitra since, no issues at all. Not sure why you'd need the liquid form the pills are small and I had no issue getting them down or with them working. One of the benefits of the sleeve is that it is more "pill friendly" than other procedures. What I will say is that I expected it to work a little faster with the smaller stomach and in actuality it took a little longer, (60 to 70 minutes instead of 30 to 40). But it's not particularly known for any stomach irritation nor did it cause any for me.

The only pills post surgery I was suggested to avoid were NSAID's because they can irritate the lining of the stomach and long term even contribute to ulcers. I don't see the magical boner elixers doing that.

Thanks for the input! I took the safe route and asked my doctor as well. He said there were no issues but insisted that I take the liquid form as he does not allow ANY solid pills post op. All pills must be crushed according to him. No biggie. I had some real fun taking a couple Cialls per op....looking to try it out post op! Should be interesting.....

I've never heard of that! ArcusX is right, better to check with your Dr than risk it. Good luck!

I would be cautious of any form besides the pill form I will tell you that my online drug reference that is for Drs and nurses used at the hospitals says that it is only available in pill form and there is a form of Viagra in IV solution this online source was updated with the newest information available just seconds from me looking it up. I have never know of any other form besides pill form

But I will say I do not know everything. Micromedex is the online source I used

I appreciate the feedback and concern. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and spoke to him about it. He told me the same thing. He said there was no FDA approved ED medication in a liquid form. He did say that taking Viagra or Cialls would not harm me but it would slow my heart rate, which could cause dizziness. He said if I wait a few months I most likely would have no need for any ED medication.

Considering the advice from you guys and my doc, I think I'll just give things some time to adjust!

In fact, it is very familiar to him. I had an operation a few years ago, and after that my libido became very low. I almost didn't have an erection, and it was really terrible. I thought it would become normal after a while. but I didn't, so I went to the doctor. He prescribed me some medication, it was Cialis. I found a very good store with a very low cialis oral jelly price, and it fixed everything. It made me feel so much better and I was so happy!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
