Mio in ice water! My favorite is the mango/peach flavor.

That sounds yummy!

I'm 3 weeks out and am STILL always dying of thirst. I go to Sonic every day and get 2 Route 44 cups of ice and munch on them all day long. It's the only thing that really ever quenches my thirst. :)

Everyday I buy a large Water EXTRA ICE from Sonic.

Then I drink 1 or 2 Lipton Citrus green Tea Lemonade. Chilled very delicious.

Is that decaff? I almost bought some but caffeine causes dehydration, especially when you are newly out.

To help me be able to get liquids down in the hospital I used Bigelow Decaff Peppermint Tea & truvia. The warm liquid at first helped, especially with the new stomach. Since I was trying to get Water & the tea down the tea would really cool off during the night and I found it tasted good cold, where I couldn't get cold water down. Eventually the cold tea made it so I could tolerate colder water.

I think drinking out a small one ounce cup or a shot glass works better because I also take in less air which allows me to feel more quenched.

Fun Fact.....peppermint is great for soothing your stomach. Years ago when I worked in an ER, when someone would come in with a horrid smell, we would open peppermint oil all over the 3k sq ft ER and it would sooth our tummies.

Ice is now my best friend :) Powerade zero is what I go to when I feel like I am dying of thirst - which I think I felt the first 3 weeks post surgery, then paniced about getting dehydrated and sent back to the hospital. The Powerade really seemed to help - just kept it on ice and drank constantly.

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
