Does anyone know how soon after surgery you can drink coffee? ! I am a diet sodaholic but am planning to switch to coffee when it is okay to drink....boy is it hard to function without caffeine!

So glad that those of you who had surgery seem to be doing well!!

six weeks was on my post op papers but it was Decaf he said I could have. So I don't know if that helps.

Caffeine of any sort can impede healing .... It is not suggested at all in my diet plan. I was a big coffee drinker and dreaded withdrawal but managed it by cutting back slowly prior to surgery. Tylenol for headache works but then after a couple days it's all good!

I am 12 days out and most days I don't get there yet. Today I drank the Unjury protein chicken broth fror Breakfast. The problem lies in that I can really only get down 4 oz at a time, so I have to have 2 to make 21 grams of protein. It is hard to get it in when you are not hungry and I hate the clear Protein Drinks.< /p>

I'm getting the Protein, but it takes me two hours or more . I am 13 days out and can drink clear stuff at about 6 oz/ hr but the protein takes longer. If you can handle the taste you could mix the Unjury in a few less ounces:-)

If you go to the top of the page click on your user name, you will see several things that pop up, click on MY Tickers, a new page will come up with a way to change them or delete them. I had to delete mine once because they would not change. Not sure what is up with them. Hope that helps you

Sorry I haven't updated sooner. The wifi in my room has been sluggish. I had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Alvarez. I went second. Went in around 11-ish am. Apparently I said the same thing to Jessica as everyone else, "Did he do the surgery?" I woke up in no pain, just groggy. I am resting, walking, melting ice chps in my mouth. Who knew they could be so good. I will post more later. Everything went exactly as all you veterans have said.

I experienced the same issue...when I changed my weight it took about 24 hours for it to update.

I had my pre-op appointment with my surgeon today (he's so nice...and so cute!, bloodwork, pre-op surgery class and signed all the waivers. I weighed in two pounds uncer my required pre-surgery weight goal!! It's getting very real now!!!!!

Okay...i will be sleeved in 6 days. Day 2 of liquids and im not hungry...BUT...my head is freaking killing me!!!!!!!! Probably caffine withdrawl.
