1 Year Surgiversary! Hooray!

Recommended Posts

I am one year out today...down 100 pounds, and have kept it off since I reached my goal on Dec. 31, 2011. I love my sleeve and wouldn't change a thing! I am so happy to be where I am instead of where I was.. Happy Surgiversary to ME!!!!!

Thank you everyone for the wonderful well wishes...

Anewlifeforme...I pretty much eat what ever I want to. I try to make sure I get my 60+ grams of Protein every day and my 48+ oz of Water. I love to exercise and go to the gym at least 3 days a week. I prefer to go more but can't always do it. I work out for 2 hours usually doing cardio and weights. LIke I said...I LOVE IT! I still drink 1 Protein Drink a day and have started to eat a Protein Bar as well. I was having horrible headaches about 2 weeks ago and I think it was from lack of protein. White chocolate and kettle corn are my vices and I do eat them. But with my sleeve, I can't eat enough to do any damage it seems.

My sleeve is the best thing I ever did for myself.

Living the dream,

Laura

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

It's been a bit of a struggle this last week...I'm hungry ALL the time.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
