EWL per my Doctor today.

Recommended Posts

Went to see my surgeon today. They supplied me with a sheet that has my starting weight and current weight.( Which the starting weight is a little off. and the current weight is off. I go by my scale here at home.) Then it has my EWL as of today. I was shocked to see what they decided my goal weight should be. I was like really???? 122.4 pounds. I haven't seen that since junior high school. LOL..... They then said that I shouldn't go by that. Where I feel comfortable is where I should be. We will see what my end result will be. They said that I was on target with the EWL percentage I'm at 23 %. I also found out that my sleeve will end up with a capacity of 8 ounces but they told me that I will probaly never go that far. I get mad hic cups and burping and thats when I call it done eating. They said thats a good plan. I do feel restriction but only on dense Protein. That to will change the further out I become. They also reassured my concern with how some foods smell so wonderful but once I take a bite its like I don't want this. Yep that is normal too. So glad to hear that. I proceeded to explain how I do not crave carbs but crave meat. I find that weird. Not to them. Told me that too is normal. All in all appointment went good. Don't go back until October. By then I am willing to bet I will be at goal or pretty damn close. ;)

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
