Divadee35 find some form of moving that you actually like. I have always worked out but the eating was horrible. I love Zumba, my gym has free classes. I also rollerskate, they have the music blasting and its fun. Do something that doesn't feel like exercise and you will stick to it. Nothing beats walking...PS I met my husband at the gym...try it one day you may like it.

Hi all I am officially three weeks out and today I felt physical hunger for the first time and its scary because I have read that people with the sleeve never feel physical hunger. So I am nervous about my success already. Can anybody chime in, did your hunger come back, is this normal, I actually left my dietician a message today!!!

I'll be 6 months out on June 12 and no physical hunger ever in that time -- I miss food and I like the way things taste but no appetite or hunger -- I feel like I'm the exception tho cause many ppl say they feel it same day out of wls not head hunger cause we all have that from time to time .... I hear some ppl 1 year out don't have hunger either so weird

So now that I have had my Pre-op (3 weeks before surgery) I'm more nervous then ever. He told me about the hair falling out, when I asked him how long I'd be out of work he says it depends, some people have went back to work after 3 days. I'm really. He feels like I'm not going to have issues, he's says it's not to far off from when I had my gallbladder removed as far as pain goes. My biggest fear is the whole sipping and drinking and making sure I get all my Protein and Fluid intake in... am I alone on this? Has anyone had these fearing going into surgery?

I had the same fears now I am almost 3 wks out and feel good. I also had a hernia but no additional pain or problems that I could tell. I actually am able to get the fluids down with no problem. I'm just tired of drinking my meals and looking forward to my doctor visit Friday to advance my diet. yay! I have learned to Celebrate the little things:)

I think you will be great and all these fears are normal when you are trying something new. Hang in there and best wishes to you

I haven't been hungry since the 1st week of my official 2 week preop diet (I had to diet longer because my BMI was so high). Postop, my stomach has never growled or signaled physical hunger. And you here people mention head hunger and honestly I'm not sure exactly what that hunger is or what that means. I just get a feeling when I need to eat if I get busy and go too long without eating something. Im 8 months post, and nothing's changed in that aspect since I got my sleeve. I know when I'm starting to get full because I start to salivate more. I have way more oral secretions now and I have to spit it out because I don't want to swallow it and fill my tiny tummy with it. I hate it- not lady like :( There are so many changes postop that I'm sure your scenario will be different and you will figure it out as you get to know your sleeve.

Thanks so much I know this week I went back to work and started Zumba again so burning a lot of calories...the feeling wasn't strong like preop but my stomach was growling or maybe since its still so new I took it for growling. Just a lot of fear as I revised from the band that was unsuccessful so nervous about this journey. Thanks for your input.

Can someone tell me they found some purée food that is actually tasty? I can eat a scrambled egg just fine but really outside that the thought of most food puréed makes me just want to drink Water and call it a day. Everything is nasty but I feel like my stomach has to readjust to food. I am just now 3 weeks post op and my plan won't allow food outside a blender for two more weeks. Thank God I'm not really hungry but I miss EATING and chewing food and this baby food style stuff makes me want to gag. Help

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
