:DYou have moved me to tears, DeeDee. I have had the same yearning my entire life!! Right now, I have no husband. It was my conviction that my kids would 2 loving parents like I had. I was adopted 57 yrs ago. For 20 yrs I was raised alone, and then when I was a freshman in college, my mom reconnected to my birthmother and siblings. The rest is history!! I have 2 moms, had 2 dads, now I am auntie to 10 and great auntie to 33!! Life is grand!! BUT, I have not given up hope of having the dreams of a loving marriage, this time grandparenting some kids, and just feeling very healthy and "complete". Adoption is a worthy endeavor with special meaning. Keep us posted on the little one's arrival. :D

I read this and my heart broke for you as well. I have the same issues with infertility and my reasons for the surgery are the same. I was scared thinking maybe the baby could not develop properly or that perhaps it would make conceiving difficult but it seems women are getting pg. I wish with all of my heart that you will have the hsg (which indeed can unblock your tubes, mine are blocked blocked blocked from previous surgery). If not there is always IVF (if your religioius views do not totally go against it) Good vibes going out to you and luck with your conceiving.

I'm new to the board, but wanted to encourage you--- I have pcos and all the issues that cone with it, we have tried 5 years with a fertility specialist to get preg. Several d&c's, many injections, and three failed iui's later--- still no baby, but in 2009 while still trying we became foster parents, Dec 7, 2009 the day our license came back, a baby boy was born and two days later was brought to our home, long story short 1 day after his first birthday he became ours forever! We still long for a pregnancy too, and I'm looking at the sleeve surgery in November, so we are excited to think that possibly in 24 months our son will be 4 and possibly if all goes well we can add a sibling! But if not, God has blessed us beyond all measure with a beautiful son I am convinced was meant for us all along! Best wishes on your family venture!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
