Day 3 of full liquids

Recommended Posts

I am starting day 3 of my full liquid diet and want to know does it get any easier or will it get harder as the days go by?:scared0:

Easier. You will get sick of Protein Shakes, but your energy levels adjust somewhat. Try to mix it up and do broth or strained egg drop Soup so you can have something that feels warm and like you actually had a meal. It does get way better though. I actually preferred full liquids to mushies.

I lived on Onion Soup from the Japanese Resturant, warmed it a little and added small amount of unflavored GNC whey protien, it was what sustained me the most, mushies are better but you can only hold 2-3 spoonfuls but the weight is coming off:)

I have loss about 6 pounds 2 of them in the last 3 days. This is now day 9 of Clear Liquids and I only have 6 more to go and then I will have the surgery. I am so looking forward to when I can have mushies. My Dietitian told me today that I will be on clear liquids for 1 week after surgery. Post op follow up after surgery I will advance to full liquids (usually for 1-2 weeks), then I will move to puree foods for two weeks and soft foods for another two weeks. So I still have a few weeks to wait.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
