Hi all,

Just wondering which one you take?? We're not tying yet just getting ready.

They are usually large and I'm scared to even try.

My doc gave me vitalfol-one. It's a blue soft gel and she said its the smallest.

I might be able to get it down but I'm afraid to try

Thanks

i gained 35 pounds during pregnancy. did you have full restriction removed? i had half of the restriction removed during the first trimester because i was getting stuck on everything. the rest of the pregnancy i had 3.5cc in a 10cc band. i also ate small meals/snacks every 2-3 hours like i did pre-pregnancy.

I had all the Fluid removed. I'm in my 1st trimester And I feel quizy all the time... Only time I feel better is if I eat something...

i found that i had less sickness in the morning if i ate something right before i went to bed. something small like Peanut Butter and crackers. my doc also prescribed an Rx prenatal that had ginger added that also helped with the nausea called B-Nexa. other than that, some flat ginger ale sometimes helped, but only occasionally. i wasn't stricken with horrid morning sickness, but only mild nausea that lasted like a few weeks, but the typical suggestions/remedies didn't do much to stop the feelings.

My OB said I could take Flintstones chewables with Iron as a prenatal. I also have to take a separate DHA supplement -- that's the hard part for me, as lately I have had trouble swallowing it. I have heard that there are some liquid DHA supplements available, so I am going to check with my doctor's office Monday about that. But the chewables work great for your average prenatal vitamin...they have the folic acid and iron needed for the baby's growth.

@Hope: I had to switch to Vitafol-One because the generic ones I prescribed were just not working...love them! I have no trouble taking them and there's no fish oil so nasty aftertaste.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
