  3. Im 12 days post op rny and I have not lost any weight for 5 days... im hiting my protein and water goal and I exercise (focused) for at least 30 min a day (the last 2 days I've been doing an hour) the only thing that comes to mind that could be why im stuck already is that my period is about to come in and ive always gained before it starts. 5. Hello All, I had my RNY on 8/4 and lost almost 25 lbs in two weeks. At week 3 my weight loss stalled and I keep gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. from 175-180. I’m only 5ft 4 so this is way too soon for this! I eat about 600 calories a day, hitting the 50-60grams in protein and usually 50 carbs or so. I’m not cleared for exercise but in all honestly I’ve been lazy and tired so no exercise. Where could I be going wrong?!
  6. I had surgery on 12/12/19 and I dropped 20lbs right away, then another 3 over the 3rd week. But I've been stalled for over a week and a half. I decided to stay consistent with my protein, meet my water goals and stay on top of my vitamins. After a couple days of this, I dropped 3lbs over night!! I know it's a small victory but after having surgery being stalled so long is worrisome. Anyone else go through this?
  7. I have not lost any weight since October 14. My surgery was September 14 and I did lose over 30 lbs in the month after surgery. I am tracking my foods and exercising and I’m getting 500-700 calories a day. Trying to get 60 g of protein but not always getting there and the shakes are intolerable to me. This is very frustrating. Help!
  8. I had surgery on Oct 26th, I will be 4 weeks post op on Monday. I have been losing very well, my weight on surgery day was 292.4 and I'm down to 269.7. But all this week, not even an ounce has been lost... is this normal? Its very frustrating..

  10. Is this normal? I had an amazing weightloss for the first week or two. I'm still on liquids, starting mush tomorrow. I'm stuck at 279lb for over a week. I dont get it. This is my worst nightmare. I've given up all the foods I love and I'm just stalled here and im still massively overweight. Has anyone had this?

    Weight stall

I have officially hit a month stall and it’s bringing me down. ... I have increased water, workouts, and cut calories and still nothing. Getting discouraged.
  12. Hey so I was sleeved 6/29/20. I've done a lot of research so I see the 3 week stall is a thing. My question is how long does it last?? I've been at a stall gaining and losing the same 3lbs for about a week and a half now. It's just insanely frustrating. I feel I shouldve lost more by now. I'm not over eating. I roughly eat 1/4 - 1/2 cup at a time and only 3 times a day and 1 or 2 shakes a day if I can get them in and of course as much Water as I can. I walk every day and starting Monday I can start basic strength training again (minus core for now). Help!? What am I doing wrong?? Hw:290 Sw:266 Cw:257

  14. Why do I feel like I have a stall every month? Is that possible? Maybe I'm not doing something right. This is frustrating at times. I try to stay off the scale but it's hard. Surgery 6/9/20 as of today 90lbs down. I feel like i should be losing more every month i stay at the same weight for maybe 2weeks or more smh. Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I have been 4 years post op with my gastric bypass underwent in 2016. Since this global pandemic I have gained weight due to the ability of working from home, stress, fear and the lack of exercise. I am slowly trying to fight against the challenges now the past 2 weeks such as discipline myself again to healthy eating, Protein Shakes, Water intake and going to the gym 3 x a week. What exercise recommendations can you shed on me which will allow me to burn fat most, lose weight and allow me to meet my goal. I am so close I can taste it. Stalled Already!

Hi all, 5 weeks post RNY and the scale hasn't moved since week 3. Getting really disappointed! Weirdly enough I still also feel hunger (I think?) sometimes I know it's head hunger, but other times I really know I have to eat. I'm managing around 4-5 tablespoons of food, which feels like far too much, is it? I also rarely feel full. I don't get any full signs like nose runs or hiccups, so I never really know if I'm satisfied or not. My surgeon told me he gave me a lot of restriction but I can't feel it. I can even drink big mouthfuls of water no problem. So worried I've done something wrong and messed up already Sent from my SM-G973F using BariatricPal mobile app

I had it at 4 weeks but finally broke. I did start walking more so not sure if that is it or not. It stalled at about

the same time I went on more solid food. Good luck and stick with it !

    3. Sweethang

    1st month stall?

So I'm 4 weeks out from surgery as of yesterday. I lost about 13 lbs my first two weeks and now, I'm only down ~7 more lbs. At my 2 week follow up, my docs wanted me to double that, by the time of my 6 week follow up (from 304 to 278). I've been hovering around 298-297 since my 2 week follow up and I can't understand why. I honestly don't eat (never hungry/get full quickly) and walk at least 30 mins a day w/my doggo. I've built my stamina up from being able to walk only 10-15 a day. My clothes fit better, and I'm losing inches, but the lbs aren't going away. Would anybody have an idea why this might be happening? I stick to my diet, and don't eat anything I shouldn't and try to get my water intake in. I admit, I struggle with my protein intake because I just cannot stand protein shakes and I can only manage to eat 1x a day. If anyone has any advice/information, I'd love to hear it. I'm slowly adapting to this new lifestyle and I don't have a lot of people to talk to about this. Thanks!
  21. Well I did it finally. Im feeling good. Surgery was Tuesday morning and I was olhome before lunch time on Wednesday. They have me on very minimal medication, otc pain medication and a script for tummy issues, but i really don't even like taking them. I know I should, at least in the short term. Fwwling good. Ive lost 7 lbs in 2 days, but i still have a long way to go. Eddy Blaine Brown II
  22. ...with smaller clothing and other victories. I am struggling this month and being hard on myself because my weight loss slowed. Yesterday I spilled a glass of water on the floor and cleaned the mess without assistance. I stopped for a moment and thought about how difficult (impossible) that was a few months ago. I am not always happy with the numbers on the scale, but I am happy with the changes in my body and non-scale victories. The crazy thing for me is as much as I wanted to change, I realize I never planned for succeeding. I now weigh less than I have in 25 years and barely recognize the difference. In my head, I am still almost 400 lbs, which is where I was before my December 2, 2019, gastric sleeve. I think I am more scared of succeeding than I am failing - which is weird because I have always dreamed of being smaller. The problem was that I never mentally planned for what that would look like. Now that this change has come out of my dreams and into my life, I am not sure what to do with it. Weight loss triggers a lot of painful things for me - some connected to a sense of security I felt being severely morbidly obese. I always felt this sense of invisibility, which is really weird because at 5'3 and 381 I was anything but invisible!!! Still, I need to take a step back and remember why I started this journey. I am in a self-sabotaging cycle that has made me stuck - plus or minus 8-10 lbs. I have been secluded with COVID and not reaching out for support, even with support readily available. Today I am starting my day differently going back to the basics with measuring food, drinking water, and eliminating the slider foods that trigger me to overeat. I have been bulimic for most of my life and now I am weirdly swinging the other way with not eating in regular intervals and when my body is physically hungry, I eat something. Mentally I know that I must eat to lose weight, but its a struggle with how my feelings around food trigger me to forget my diet and eat what I want. I grew accustomed to not being able to eat and hoped that would continue. Now, it depends on the day. I cannot eat a lot, but 'a lot' is relative, after the gastric sleeve. I am struggling to get back to focused efforts on mindful eating. Can anyone relate to what I am experiencing?
  23. So I've been consistently moving the scale everyday. I'm on day 20 and went from 249 surgery date to 228.2. Thing is, I've been that weight for the last four days. How long does it last? I'm sooo close to weighing less than my husband, I need 5 more pounds!
  24. I honestly had no idea about this 3 week stall until I started reading peoples posts. Can I be among the many to say it is for the birds. I am on week 5 and my scale hasn't moved in a while. I had to put my scale in closet time out until we could be friends again. I'm just going to keep sticking to my diet and try and get in more exercise for a while. Alright I'm done just needed to get that off my chest.
  25. My periods have always been irregular. Before today, I hadn't had my period in over 150 days. I was diagnosed with PCOS around August last year. I was told weight loss and exercise were my only hopes of salvation. I get pretty bad back pain, so I don't exercise very much, but I try to here and there. I've been really working on my weight loss since December through dieting. This past week, I have not lost ANYTHING. My diet is all the same **** I normally eat and I may even be moving more now than previously. Went to the bathroom today and found out I had a surprise visit from Aunt Flo (on Valentine's Day, no less - perfect timing, as usual). Now I am sitting here, having cramps from hell, wondering if maybe the weight loss stall has to do with my menstrual cycle starting back up. Anyone else experience this? Here's to hoping my body will figure this out soon and get back to making progress. 😅
