Ok so where I work they are always feeding you LOL. Candy, potluck, bagel for breakfast, donuts, ect. I'm found out from my psych eval that I'm a visual cue eater so this is very hard for me. Just hang in there it is mind over matter.

Hi, 64lbs please pat yourself on the back. You have done great. My surgeon’s told me at my initial consultation that my ideal weight is 150lbs which means I’m about 130lbs overweight. He was real honest and said that the band would only help me lose about 60% of that. This means I’m going into this expecting to lose 78lbs. I haven’t been banded yet but I think 78lbs is great and I’m looking forward to being that much lighter. Good Luck to you.

My doc sent the info over 01/14. I called today to check it was still pending review by a nurse....I plan on calling again on Friday. I say bug them until you have a yes or no. LOL

The Good thing is you realize your mistake that is step number 1. Next time just look at the piece of chicken and say “BAD CHICKEN NO… NO… NO…” LOL. Don’t beat yourself up that will lead to other bad habits. Stay focused and good luck.

Hi, I have not been banded yet but I wish you luck on your journey. I have heard that anything under 1200 calories and the body will go into starvation. Talk to your nutritionist and see if that’s it.

You know what 15lbs is 15lbs no matter is it's water or not. Congrats think of it as a success and keep on losing. Good Luck!!!

Hi, it seems to be different for everyone. It has taken me 4 months to get everything done. I will find out if I'm approved within the next 2 weeks, and I'm hoping to have a surgery day in Feb. I started the process in Oct. Good Luck!!

Try keeping you calories at about 1200-1300 a day from what I have heard anything under 1200 the body goes into satrvation and starts to store fat cells.. Good Luck

OMG I was on the TJ-MAX trip also lol....People can say anything, there is nothing like doing your own research on the doctor and hospital/satff. Becareful and Good Luck

He was a strange little man, but I would agree nothing to worry about. He tested me to see if I was knowledgeble about the band, port, drinking water/while eating. Then gave me a packet to fill out. With questions like "if you see something good to eat do you eat it right away" and there were images I had to choose which one closely resembled my figure. (I guess to see if I had any body image issues) I turned it back in the next day and then came back for the results. He called me emotionally guarded but approved me anyway.

I loved Atkins Cafe Caramel 15 grams of Protein and 5 carbs. Found them at Wal-Mart for $6.97 for 4.
